Conil fishing port - Roche river and Roche cliffs.

This story is about an easy and amazing familiar route in which could be watched some animals such as tiny crabs in the shores of the river, elusive small lizards hiding in the rocks and white seagulls flying over us. Besides, we could enjoyed the sound of the waves battering the cliff as well as the whispering of our steps.

The route starts in front of the small bar situated out of the harbour. At this point, the car is parked and it follows the path drives us toward the river.

At the end of the dirt track, we must cross over the road and take the tiny path on the right side of the river.

With the low tide, it is possible to see a lot of tiny crabs running on the mud and hiding when they hear any sound.

The quality of the picture is slightly bad but if you have a bit of imagination, you will be able to see the crabs.

A old boat stranded.

After one kilometer, the path takes us away from the river and leads to a narrow corridor flanked by mulberry trees.

Bit by bit, the corridor becomes wider and we bump into great pine trees.

From this spot on, the views change radically. The pine area goes as far as we can see.

It is easy to see people ride horses in these spots. Personally, I think that it is a perfect place to learn how to ride a horse.

The quiet residential area Roche starts to glimpse which means that the cliffs get closer. It is already possible to hear the sea breeze.

Sooner than later, the cliffs are reached.

A few tiny coves shape the litoral which compete with each other in beauty.

Without realizing it, the cliffs have finished and the lighthouse has come.

A narrow passage leads us to the anchors of the trap in order to fish red tuna.

These anchor are use to making the trap to fish the red tuna. The trap is usually set in May when the red tuna goes to Mediterranean sea to breed.

With the high tide, a stream of salt water enters the river, by this way, the landscape is totally different than when the trek started.

And so the excursion is over.

In my humble opinion, this path is perfect for children to try out trekking.
